A more time-consuming recipe than I originally intended, but it was REALLY delicious. The tzatziki isn't traditional, but it was REALLY yummy...and I ate it with a spoon.

Soooo good! I didn't have the pitas like I thought, so I just stacked it over greens. Technically, not a sandwich anymore but the flavors are phenomenal. I'm not sure what size people these 4 servings are for, as it made enough for 8. Looking forward to the leftovers....

OK, Jeff is more than a flash in the pan. At the local Whole Foods near where Jeff lives, there was no ground lamb left and not a pita to be found... he is that popular. But I was in the mood to try this recipe.. So even if you use naan bread and a mixture of lamb, pork, and beef.. the flavors and spices that Jeff has pulled together makes it all work. What a juicy dinner.Definitely will make this again.

Wow! We loved this recipe. In place of a date night, my wife and have a "Food Network" night and pick a recipe to make, thankfully we chose the Sandwich King. We paired the Greek Taco with the spinach from steak sandwich recipe which was also excellent. We added mushrooms to the spinach and it worked wonderfully. I highly recommend the Greek Taco - nice job King!

Holy schnikes that's good stuff!! Can't wait to try more of Jeff's sam'iches! I worked this into my weekly food planner when I saw the show since I just happened to have some fresh ground lamb from the farmer's market. Made my own twist here and there. Even the kid ate it, said it was the best chicken taco ever! Shhh....

My husband I were rooting for Jeff to win Food Network Star, and we are so glad he did. I made this Greek Taco tonight and my family went berserk over it! I had some yogurt sauce already on hand and most of the other ingrediants too, just really needed the ground lamb. Grilling the pita was an awesome idea too as it added so much flavor...my husband said it was the perfect combination of savory, crunchy and deliciousness...he said every bite was the perfect bite. Jeff, you have made a fan out of my husband and me...we look forward to trying something else from you! Thanks! Oh, and by the way, I have made countless recipes from Food Network's website and I have never been so compelled to write a review...:

This is crazy delicious!!! I made it for my grown son and my husband. They couldn't get enough. I usually make my own tzatziki but I happened to have a premade one on hand. I just added feta to the sauce. My grocery doesn't carry non pocket pita bread so I bought bread from a local restaurant. I lived in Chicago for years and this tastes just like the gyros I remember. Maybe even better!

Another delicious recipe, Jeff!! I had to put feta on the side (kids don't love it and added 1/4 t of cumin to meat, but overall a fantastic twist on gyros! Yum!! 2 for 2 so far!!
