Traveled throughout Europe last spring, gyros were a favorite. This was a great treat and tasted like the real thing and just as messy. Tzatziki was really good and easy to make. Relish was perfect with home grown cucumber and tomatoes.

Hey Jeff, you're starting a national pastime of watching the Sandwich King on Sunday and making one of your fabulous sandwich recipes for Sunday night supper! You hit another homerun with your show today and we simply had to have this sandwich ASAP. I changed it up just a bit by substituting lamb cut into small pieces off the bones from two chops along with a steak we had left over and frozen from a recent cookout. I marinated the lamb in red wine, garlic, and Greek spices and then cooked as you would the ground meat, adding the cooked steak in with the next step of cooking the onion/garlic/oregano/tomato paste/red wine. Loveloveloved it! Keep up the good work, you're really on a roll. (Haha! We're comedians too!

This was easy and delicious. With each bite my family kept saying wow! I could not find lamb so used ground beef and it was yummy. Will absolutely make this again. Way to go Sandwich King!! Can't wait for you next show!

Love, love, love it! Even my very picky kids enjoyed it. We used turkey instead of lamb and it was absolutely delicious. Every part of the recipe added flavor on top of flavor. I'm now a big fan of Jeff Mauro and can't wait to try his other recipes.

When I saw you make this this morning...my mouth was watering. My son and I love lamb. I immediatly ran to the store to pick up the ingredients. It was so easy to make and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb mixture had so much flavor and the homemade Tzatziki and cucumber relish was to die for. I'll be watching next week. Love, love love your show. Please stay your down home self and don't let Food Network turn into another gimic.
