Delicious, but as others have said, I should have drained the lamb meat better as it turned out a little too greasy. However the flavor was perfect, just like a gyro from the fair :-

This was delicious, but I should have drained out more of the fat from the lamb. The tzatziki sauce was amazing. I had issues with the pita, but that could have been because I overstuffed it.

Great recipe. It gives you the taste of a gyro, but with a much easier preparation! Great job!

We loved this recipe! It was super easy to make. Was slightly time-consuming but well worth it. I added some crushed red pepper to the lamb while it was browning because we like a little heat and I think I remember his using it on the show. Very tasty, wouldn't change a thing!

I made this a couple of days ago. I was not able to find non pocket pita bread or the whole Greek Yogurt. And i didn't use the red wine (I must have missed that when I read the recipe However, The family LOVED it. It is a hit and something that we will keep in our repertoire.

At the store they had pita pockets that were cut in half and they made the perfect "tacos". I think I will continue to make them in the pockets. This was an awesome meal. I used a lettuce leaf in my pocket. OH MY it's so good!

Amazing creation! However, I was able to make 8 sandwiches, not 4. Only changes were a tad more tomato paste and oregano in the meat, and I added chopped fresh dill to the tomato relish. All the flavors went really well together, I served the sandwiches with some Biryiani rice with dried cranberries and almonds and spinach salad. Got raves all around, thanks Jeff, keep them coming!
