Had this for lunch today. We try to have as much of a Paleo diet as possible and this sandwich was perfect. Very delicious!

The plantain need more time to cook before we smashes, we add ketchup to the sauce for better flavor like “Mayoketchup”, we substitute the ham and cheese for fresh roasted pork and that’s the best sandwich ever.

Just amazing we are gluten free and this was a fun find. We made the dish as a family and the kids had a blast! I will make this 3-4 times a month for sure!

The entire family loved it. Mayo was awesome. We used super thin sliced ham and fresh spinach instead of iceberg.

I have been searching for this recipe for years! The restaurant Jeff visited in the episode was my FAVORITE when I lived in Chicago. I always tell everyone I know about it, but now I can do this at home. Thanks!

The idea of plantains as a substitute for bread - outstanding! We are sandwich freaks so we are glad to see new ideas to change it up once in a while.

Wow, what a surprise : The texture of the plantain was so nice and crispy. The mayo was a breeze. Great sandwich
