Never been much of a sandwich person (worried about them being too fattening, but love to watch the show as Jeff is hilarious! Saw a brisket marked down at the grocery store and thought I'd try this recipe. It is delicious!!! Everything goes together perfectly. The brisket was tender and full of flavor. Good luck with your new show.

I'm sure this recipe is very delicious, it certainly sounds like it! But maybe it shouldn't be called a Jewish brisket. Being that it has Mozzarella on it, and meat and dairy is one of the very definitions of not kosher.

its extremely rare that i leave feedback or reviews for recipes, however after trying this one, i had to leave feedback because i want everyone looking at this recipe to try it. I am not joking when i say this is by far one of the best sandwiches I've EVER eaten in my life. I caught the show on food network, caught my attention, never really seen sandwich king before. But this recipe just looked so interesting on tv that I had to give it a go. I followed it to the exact, and let me tell u, when you put everything on the bun and u take ur first bite, it is complete and utter magic, I have no other words, everything just works perfectly, the red cabbage slaw is by far the best slaw i've ever tasted and paired with the brisket, mustard mayo, smoked mozzarella, omg!!!!! it was heaven, it takes some time and effort, but please trust me when i say, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

Since I smoked our brisket over hickory I can't honestly rate Jeff's approach though I'm sure it's excellent. Despite all that, I've rated this one as a Five Star thanks to his red cabbage slaw. It was by far the best slaw I've ever tasted! And its clean, fresh taste and world-class crunch made it a perfect compliment to the brisket. Without exaggeration, I will probably never use any of my other slaw recipes again. Do yourself a favor and try this one. Slainte!
