    I moved from Chicago several years ago and have missed all the old favorites... Jeff you knocked this one out of the park! Thank you for a taste of my hometown all the way down in Florida!

    after we watched you make this as a family, my daughter & i zipped off to the store. we loved buying sports peppers & chicago style buns w poppy seeds as we live just north of the city. my eleven year old son then ventured to make the family dinner, a first experience for him. he wanted to follow the directions to a "T" and was thrilled that we were going to all end up standing while we ate and drinking a LARGE soda : my son browned the sausages and then learned how to chop onions. yes, he did a little crying! he layered each of the ingredients accordingly and wrapped everything in tin foil. we gathered in the kitchen and each took our little bundle. EVERYONE WAS SURPRISED AT HOW DELICIOUS THIS WAS! it was amazing. we will definitely make this again & again!
