What a great idea. Jeff, you hit a homerun today. One of the best first shows I have seen. Can't wait to make the fig spread.....
Really enjoyed the show. Congratulations, you deserve it.

Sorry, all the years I've critiqued FN recipes, this is the first time I'm commenting without having created the recipe. Sorry, I had to be the 4th to congratulate you.....I clapped and cried when you won.....my husband was "awing" me!
Gotta say, I'm "favoriting" all 3 of these recipes......and especially can't wait to make the Mortadella Focaccianini.....L-O-V -E figs and especially the sweet/salty componants to this sandwich! Allready eat Mortadella, but never like this! Great invention Jeff! Us Italians have the best foods! And now we have the best........... and only Sandwich King....here ye here ye hail the King!

Just wanted to say that I am so happy you won, because I can't wait for all your great sandwich recipes. Can't wait to try the fig spread. I have a fig tree in my backyard with figs on it right now. Guess I can use fresh ones, huh? If not, I have some dried ones too. Never thought to mix the figs with the vinegar. Wishing great success for you and your family and your new show!!

Jeff, Being from Naperville IL myself,I was pulling for you all the way!! Cannot wait to see what else you can bring to the world of sandwiches! What an awesome concept. So glad a "local" boy won this thing...Congrats. Oh, and the dried fig jam-awesome for a Midwesterner, we rarely get fresh figs here. Love them!

So Awesome! Can't wait for more recipes. Congratulations and best of luck on your new show! I was not a sandwich person but you have expanded my way of thinking. Hubby loves it and the guys at work are trying to get me to send extra for them! Thanks

didn't make the sandwich but did make the fig spread, and WOW!! Whouda thunk it... Balsamic vinegar and figs? I put a little on a cracker with some cream cheese and it was fantastic! I may also try making some type of salad dressing with this. Thanks Jeff. Absolutely thrilled about your win, can't wait for the first show. Hope you'll be doing some bread recipes too!
