My husband and I made this sandwich and just finished eating - it was delicious, very easy to make, and seemed gourmet! We really enjoyed the fig spread!

I made this sadnwich today for my family and everyone loved it! It was easy to make and very filling. I really love the fig spread and think it will be a nice accompaniment to just grilled cheese as well. I love Jeff's show...I hoped he would win right from the start! After dinner my husband said "can't wait to see what he makes next"!

Made it today with one change - we used a regular whole grain bread - and it was amazingly good! My husband wasn't sure about mortadella (he called it 'jumped up bologna'! or balsamic vinegar or even figs, but put them all together and wow! He said he "could eat it every day". Maybe not, but I'm going to make sure we always have the fixings on hand.

Jeff, you really may be the Sandwich King!

I loved this sandwich and I love this show! I have watched every season of Food Network Star and Jeff's concept is my favorite by far. And, I love Jeff's personality. My DVR is set to record every episode.

Loved it! My husband and I made it together and it was so much fun. The fig spread was wonderful and I'm already thinking of other ways to use it. I'd never had mortadella before but purchased some for this; it really tastes pretty much like bologna so next time I'll save a few bucks and skip the mortadella (only if I can get bologna thin sliced. Jeff, you are funny and a great chef. I'm glad you won!

First let me say Love ya Jeff... Now, I have never been a fan of mortadella. Growing up in an Italian household, it was always in the fridge. Never did like it much. Well, after seeing your show I decided to try it one more time. Must be the fig spread... YUM. That fig spread is going to be one of my "go to's" from now on. Thanks Jeff.. Looking forward to more great recipes. Oh, BTW, LOVE the last line there...LMAO!!
