These were great. Yes, add more seasoning if you like and change out the panko when it gets sticky. Bottom line is I loved cooking them in the oven instead of frying. The kids had friends over for dinner and everyone loved them.

They tasted good but take too long to make. Crumbs got lumpy and hard to spread after dipping first dozen or so even letting them drip off before dipping. Hard to work with.

Delicious! A hit with us and our company. Super crispy without the grease!! And super tasty.

Funny how people say they are tasteless. I guess they've never heard of season to taste. I add the seasoning levels I like. The onion rings came out great. Nice to bake and not fry.

My boyfriend and I are huge fans of Jeff Mauro and his recipes. I substituted chili powder for the smoked paprika as I did not have any smoked paprika on hand. Delicious!

What a bummer! These onion rings were such a dissapointment. I followed the recipe to a T, but they were too salty and bland. I did enjoy the non fried crunchy part tho. I will NOT be making these again.

Just picked sweet onions from Ewa, Hawaii at their annual pumpkin patch and looking for a recipe for oven baked onion rings. Found this recipe and didn't have to look further, tasty and crispy. As we say here in Hawaii, "ono!" (delicious!

I loved the crunchiness of these onion rings but did anyone else think they were a little bland? I think next time I will take the suggestion of only using a little of the panko mixture and when it starts to get mushy, throw it out and put some fresh on a plate. I also have my own blend of seasoned salt and I think I'll try using that in place of just kosher salt for added flavor. But love the texture and that they aren't fried.
