great flavor and easy to make. Anyone had The Loop and love their Tomato Bisque? This is a perfect home made bisque - I think I like it better than any you can get in a restaurant.

THIS WAS REALLY GOOD AND RICH. BUT, I DID FEEL IT NEEDED MORE SEASONING, SO I CHECKED OTHER TOMATO SOUP RECIPES AND ADDED FRESH BASIL JUST BEFORE BLENDING AND HERBES DE PROVENCE (MELISSA AND TOPPED IT WITH GREEK YOGURT AND FRESH CHIVES (GUY. THE SOUP WAS QUITE THICK AND WOULD MAKE AN EXCELLENT PASTA SAUCE.

This was the best tomato soup/bisque I've ever had. Unbelievably delicous!! I had no sherry, so substituted cognac, which seemed to work perfectly. I also left out the heavy cream, as I felt it simply didn't need it. I will certainly try more of Jeff's recipes.

Jeff may be king of the sandwich, but this bisque was his big hit at my house. I didn't puree the carrots and tomatoes very much and the bigger pieces of each were quite flavorful and much different in texture than any bisque I had ever had. Outstanding.

I LOVE tomato soup, and watching Jeff make his started a big time craving. My fiance and I couldn't get enough of it. Thank goodness I made extras, cuz that is all we ate for the 3 days after. So yummy!

This soup was simple, delicious, and complex. I've made several different tomato bisques at home--including the Cook's Illustrated version--and this recipe blew them out of the water. The spice developed from the red pepper flakes and the dry sherry are key.

My only comment: this makes far more than 4 servings...I'd say more like 8 generous servings if having a sandwich to accompany.

    Thanks for another perfect recipe!

I our home Jeff is set to be DVR'd every week. I loved him on the Food Network Challenge!!! Back to this recipe, I have never been a tomato soup fan but my husband is and saw this recipe and asked if I could try it so I did and boy was I happy. I am now a believer that tomato soup a.k.a. bisque is AMAZING! I doubled the recipe and have frozen some for another day. Jeff thank you so much for the fun, easy, tasty information you provide with such humor. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Sandwich King!
