I saw this episode on tv, and I just had to try it. We didn't have a cast iron skillet, so I bought one just for this. I am so glad that I did! The food was amazing! Definately better than the Oktoberfest down the street.

We messed up the biscuits (not your fault, it was mine so we had the pork by itself and it was the best!!! I hid the leftovers in the fridge so I wouldn't have to share them with anyone else. This recipe is on the top of my favorite recipe list now!

I would not have chosen to make this sandwich because I'm not a huge cabbage fan. However, my mother-in-law was visiting and mentioned that she'd like to try it. I am so glad she did. It was so delicious. I am addicted to it and will make sure to prepare it often. I used pillsbury frozen buttermilk biscuits(sorry Jeff! and they were fantastic for an easy shortcut. I do want to try those biscuits since I seem to be somewhat challenged in the biscuit making department. Thank you, Food Network, for selecting Jeff as your winner....who doesn't love a good sandwich?

We really enjoyed this sandwich for a relaxed Sunday Supper. The pork comes out moist and super tender with the brine and quick breading/pan frying method. I made the raspberry mayo (wow - will be using that for lots of other sandwiches - I think it will be great with poultry! The addition of the cider braised cabbage really made the sandwich more special - with a crunch and savory/sweet flavor. I did not make the biscuits but used a home baked ciabatta role that was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside - really married well with the sandwich. I have no doubt I will be making those biscuits soon for a brunch treat. Jeff - you are a great addition to the network and I think your recipes really are creative, homey and so far we have tried 3 already!! I cannot say that any other network star has inspired me this much in a long time (since I first started watching Ina! YOU are the next network Superstar.

Great Show and great star! The schnitzel was the best so far. Also tried to make the schnitzel using turkey tenderloins - excellent.

My husband made it all.....the schnitzel, the bisquits, the mayo, the cabbage - it does take a while though. We liked it, especially the schnitzel and the bisquits. The raspberry mayo was a nice touch. Neither of us like cooked cabbage, but found this cabbage tasty - I especially liked it with the potatoes on the side and hubby liked the cabage better chilled the next day.

First time making a Schnitzel (couldn't even spell it but what a delicious meal. Husband and two grown sons were like mad men. It probably took me a lot longer than it took you but well worth the effort. Keep up the good work!
