I do not know why this did not get 5 stars..... I give it a 10! Just about the BEST potato salad I ever tasted. I was skeptical about the relish but followed the recipe to a T - except I did add chopped hard-boiled eggs....that's a must in potato or macaroni salad for us. I think what makes the potatoes have so much flavor is the vinegar. Jeff - I watched you win FNS - you are just so great on this show. So glad you won and I just want to make AND EAT everything you make on your show. It was amazing warm and also amazing cold. Yummy - Thanks Jeff

This is a fabulous potato salad as written but how about how it tastes warm?? Equally amazing. I made this a second time and served it warm with a simple pork roast and vegetables. My family loved it. It is also so easy to make and forgiving if you don't have the right ingredients...I had to use white wine vinegar and a very spicey pickle relish and it came out great,

Gotta tell ya,Jeff, you made a change in my life with this recipe. I'm 61 so I've been making my mother's version since forever. Your process was different but as I watched you make it I thought I'd give it a try. FANTASTIC! I will never go back. Love the idea of tossing while potatoes are hot, and, and, AND cutting th epotatoes before you simmer (not boil them. Duh. have made this a coule times, and tonight I tossed in fresh dill from my garden - as you say fresh veggies are great in this. Thank you, Food network STAR that you are! I have still tons more recipes I want to try of yours....you keep me cookin'. Oh, and Jeff my daughter played substitute trombone in the band you did gigs with at Green Door! We are so happy for you Network Star!

I really loved the tip about the vinegar and tossing the potatoes with the vinegar while they were hot. My only tweak to the recipe was to use Dijon mustard instead of whole grain, otherwise I made it exactly as written. It was delicious! Love your show, Jeff!

I love this recipe, just tangy enough. make sure to toss the potatoes with the vinegar separately, let it really soak into the potato, then toss with everything else.

Made this last night as a side for the open face BBQ Chix sandwich. What a hit! Didn't have the relish or the mustard but was still amazing. I think next time I would like to cut back on the mayo a bit and add bacon and some hard boiled egg.

This is the best potato salad recipe ever! Thank you, Jeff! My husband who is just "ho hum" about any potato salad he's ever tasted or I've ever made had 3 helpings last night and proclaimed your recipe has made him a potato salad fan! Easy to make and absolutely delicious. I've thrown out all my old recipes, including my mother's for this recipe!!

This was a good basic potato salad to build onto. I cut mayo in half and added homemade italian dijon dressing so cut mustard out as well. I added dill relish, roasted sweet peppers (from the grill previous night, and 1 hard boiled egg. Easy recipe to build upon. I would use again but cut potatoes smaller this time as that's my preference.

I thought it was great! Easy to make and well worth it. I didnt have whole grain mustard so I just used some yellow. Also I had no chives but used fresh scallions from the garden. I will bring it to the next Bar B Q!
