- 1 cup fresh carrot juice

- 1 cup ice

This amount of ginger yields a smoothie with a horrific bite comparable to vitamins. One cup of ice is also not enough to give a smoothie texture, thus two cups is more effective along with the addition of a banana to thicken things up.
