Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch, divided
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 pound halibut fillet, cubed
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, crushed

Directions

In a small bowl, mix the teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until well blended. Set aside.

Heat the canola oil in a nonstick wok over medium-high heat. Toss the halibut in the remaining cornstarch and add to hot oil. Sear quickly on all sides, about 3 minutes total. Remove halibut from wok and set aside. Add broccoli, snow peas, bell pepper, and ginger to the wok with 1/4 cup of water and cover. Steam vegetables until crisp tender, about 3 minutes. Add teriyaki sauce mixture and stir until the vegetables are well coated. Simmer over low heat until sauce thickens. Once sauce has thickened, return halibut to the wok and cook until warmed through. Serve immediately.

    Just like "UPTOWN"

We loved this interesting fish recipe. My husband bragged about it so often that his friends insisted on the recipe. I have... made it many times, and have discovered that the flavors change with the different brands of sauces used. I did fry the fish longer than the recipe indicated, just to get a crisp crust on the fish. Loved it. One of our top dishes.Read more

    Good ingredients--bland taste

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
It shouldn't be hard to create a tasty, low calorie stir fry and I had high hopes for this recipe, given the good fresh... ingredients included. But I was disappointed with the results. I believe the key to long-term weight loss is to eat really good, tasty, healthy food. Bland food just invites overeating. Skip this recipe.Read more

    Yummy!

This was a terrific recipe, however I enhanced it with carrots, more broccoli, and I added shrimp, too. As a result, I... doubled the sauce mixture. I didn't have halibut at home, so I used swordfish and that worked well. Dinner was a big hit with everyone at the table and I will definitely use this recipe again. Of course the alterations probably changed the calorie and fat counts, and so I know I strayed from the benefits of Mr. Cruz's carefully crafted recipe. Highly recommended.Read more
