Was invited to a friend's home for margaritas and nachos and had to get myself a copy of this recipe! I love margaritas, but have tried for several years to find a great recipe - this is it! Great ratio of alcohol to juice etc - does not taste overly alcohol-y and not too sweet. Packs a good punch though at the same time.
What a twist on an old classic. I love the recipe and the citrus soda really gives it a buzz that enjoyable. One thing i changed up is I used tonic water that had a splash of lime. Canada Dry makes it. And it really gave it a more open flavor. great one!
Simply amazing! It doesn't take much to feel the "buzz" and the best part is that there is NO sweet n' sour!
Amazing drink...what a great twist on a traditional margarita! I loved the splash of cranberry and how it floated to the bottom. Made for a really pretty presentation! It is a bit tart, but that's what I love! Let me just say I felt like a rock star drinking this one!!! Thanks Guy and Matthew!!!
Show was entertaining. The drink however did not do anything for me. Too tart for my taste.
made this recently during a major snow storm here in new york for me and my lovely laaaaaaaaady. we loved it!! don't know why she kept callin' me matt though, anyway - it was great-just keep livin'!!!

Guy said "without question one of the best times I've had", well it showed. The comfort, fun and livin' came through.
I'll be trying out the oyster later but first I'm getting started with a JKL Margarita. We have no Oranjina in the cupboard so I'm subbing club w/ fresh squeezed oj. Looking good.
    JKL folks
Ditto! The reviewer before me beat me to my exact sentiments. My kids and I watch your shows all the time. My boys are 9 and 11 and you always get us cooking. But this show with Matthew was the reason I signed up for a log-in on Food Network and was finally compelled to chime in. I've already posted about this episode on FB. And I happened to make the JKL margarita (sub sparkling water for tonic and Cointreau for GM along with you (my boys love Orangina, so I had it around. Your enthusiasm, sheer relaxed joy for what you were doing and repartee was SO enjoyable. Just contagious! Gorgeous food. Can't wait to try the faro salad. Than you! I had a blast right along with you!
    Hello Guy,
I been a Food Network Fan for a long while now. You one of the people I love to watch. I do have a few favorites here and your one, Well anyway I want you to know the show you had on tonight made me finally sign up for an account with Food Network after all these years. I wanted to tell you the show you had on tonight was absolutely the BEST!. It was so REAL and Natural". You and Matt was refreshing. I haven't had the opportunity to make any of the dishes yet, but when I do, I'll be back to rate it. But meanwhile I had to let know you had it going on, with the show you had with Matthew. I laugh and smiled and was tickled, I actually felt like I was there in some small way. I love Matt even more as an actor, he was what I thought he be all along, down home and natural. I am also happy for you with your new HOT SPOT "It's a GUY thing" on the Food World Network. I love the new look, its you! Keep on Rocking Rock Star, best to ya!
    Best regards
