Worked like a charm! Each half only took 5 minutes and was cooked to perfection! Thanks for this easy recipe. I filled each half with diced fresh pears, honey, pecans, dried cranberries, and a touch of light margarine.

This method cuts the time it takes to cook acorn squash down by 75%, and it tastes great! All I add is a drizzle of honey.

This is the way I've always microwaved acorn squash--except I cover with wax paper not plastic wrap. Excellent!
