this was a very easy recipe and very tasty. i added a package of chicken sausage which i cooked separately and threw it in at the end and i also added 2 green squash when i cooked the onion and garlic. i'm not a fan of large tomatoes so i used petite diced instead...all five of us enjoyed it!

This soup is wonderfully easy and delicious !!! I used a can of diced tomatoes that made it even easier. My family is not vegetarian, but seriously with all the great flavors, no one missed the meat.
    A keeper for sure!!

I made this tonight for my husband and I and we LOVED it! It was very fast to make and left us both feeling as though we just ate something healthy without having to compromise on flavor. Many reviews mentioned adding sausage so I did the same and added mild italian turkey sausage at the beginning with the onions (about 1 pound. I think this really made the soup for my husband who has to have meat at every meal. My grocer was out of tortellini so I tried Farfalle and thought the little bow ties looked cute floating around. I also did fresh spinach from a salad bag; I recommend chopping a little at a time and adding to the soup before you chop up the whole bag and then realize you have way too much spinach in the pot. What I liked about this was that there wasn't a lot of chopping up front and hardly any dishes to clean up afterwards...the end to a perfect meal is not having a ton of dishes to do. I will definitely do this one again!

Had to take the time to rate this recipe because this soup is fantastic! I improvised and added ground Italian sweet sausage. Turned out excellent. I'm having a neighborhood soup party and this one is definitely on the the menu.

I can count on one hand how many recipes I have taken the time to rate. This one is in our monthly rotation. Especially with the cold weather it is SO comforting, easy and delicious. Super quick for a crazy night. I will note that I have tried with both the refrigerated, frozen and the dry tortellini. The dry really does seem to be better.

I make it with fresh spinach. Delicious. BUT... for a quick meal, I keep all the pantry ingredients and some frozen whole leaf spinach in the freezer for a quick desperation meal.

Not a fantastic reheated meal however.

I'm not usually one to go out of my way to leave reviews, but I just had to after making this soup.

So easy to make, one pot, great fulfilling taste.. what's not to love?

I added white beans and chopped zucchini and tastes even better.

Great meal for one as well. Put the leftovers into separate containers and plan on freezing them so I can bring to work for lunch.

    Yum! Must try this!
