I'm on a low carb diet, so I didn't make the rice. It was very good, but I'm not sure I liked it as much as Bobby's

Excellent recipe! Everytime I've made it I get rave reviews and everyone loves eating it! I've also used 6 chicken breasts when I want to use a healthier chicken. This has wine AND chicken broth which give it a very rustic taste and makes it very comforting to eat. A great make-ahead meal which tastes even better the next day. Hubby doesn't like green peppers so I used 4 red peppers and I used 1/2 tsp Cayenne because I didn't have red pepper flakes and it tasted great. I served it with rice which was cooked in chicken broth. I saw this episode of Throwdown and Bobby Flay's recipe looked good too but this recipe won...Make this recipe, you won't be disappointed!

I missed this particular episode of Throwdown, but a close friend of mine suggested I try this recipe out, and I will be forever grateful to her. I used chicken breasts on the bone and with skin, since I prefer white meat compared to the dark on the thighs. The sauce came out AMAZING, but I let it simmer for much longer than the recipe calls for so the flavors would come together more (about 2 hours. The chicken was all but falling off of the bone by the time it was plated. There would have been enough for leftovers had my family not eaten seconds, and some of them, thirds. I served the chicken over parmesan-herb Rice-a-Roni, which complimented everything perfectly. I also made a side of roasted parmesan green beans, which was extremely simple to make and tasted wonderful. The following day, I used the remaining sauce for whole-wheat pasta. Every bit of this meal was delicious.
