I loved it, but the family thought it was just ok. If you like peppers, you'll love it. But needs sugar to cut acidity of the tomatoes. Chicken could also cook a little longer. Very easy and great with pasta. I made one chicken, but all the sauce ... worked out great and had enough sauce to go over pasta with the leftovers.

I never made chicken cacciatore at home and was disappointed with this bland, greasy excuse for a recipe. The ingredients were expensive (chicken breast, fresh peppers, gourmet tomatoes. I would try it again but with someone else's recipe. The leftovers weren't even that great. I have a culinary degree and obviously know how to follow a recipe but this was a disaster.

I've never had chicken cacciatore but if this is how it was supposed to taste, it was pretty good!! i left out the wine and didn't put any substitute but i didn't notice any difference. The peppers and mushrooms gave such good texture and flavor. A big crowd pleaser!!

I made this recipe yesterday and it was a winner! To me, this is comfort food. (I'm sure this tastes different with wine. We don't drink so I used additional chicken broth in place of the wine. Also, I reduced the olive oil amount. We enjoyed this dish over rice. Yum!! A good, basic recipe and another way to use chicken. My "gravy" wasn't really thick, but, it worked out fine.

I can see how Keth Young won the throwdown. Will do again.

Watching the "Throwdown" Kieth clearly uses Pastene brand San Marzano Tomatoes, but it's not mentioned in the recipe. This would make a big difference in the final product and it should be listed here in the recipe. So I rate the show 5 stars and Kieth's original recipe 5 stars. Just let it be known that the ingredients make the difference.

Oh my gosh this was absolutely wonderful! This will definitely be a family favorite. I followed the recipe to the T except we added seasoning to the flour for our chicken. The flavors all came together. My husband even loved it and he's very picky when it comes to seasoning. I give this 10 stars!!!

I made this dish for my family last night. Everyone absolutely loved it. Unless you eat huge portions, this recipe makes enough for 6 to 8 people. We are looking forward to eating the leftovers today.
