This recipe came out great! I used chicken breasts only and cooked it for a bit longer than the recipe calls for and it came out wonderful. The only problem I had was that it was a bit too spicy from the red pepper flakes, for my taste- so I'll be using less next time.

This dish was simple to make. It was not over complicated with several ingredients and steps. The hardest part of this dish was the time it took to cook the chicken. The kids requested that I make this again. I served it over rice but may try it over pasta next time.

Maybe there should be a show on Firehouse cooking in the future.

Perhaps people who like bland food find this one flavorful, but to my New York, Italian cuisine accustomed family this lacked taste. It needs more herbs and the chicken needs to be seasoned before flouring. Sauce was too runny as well.

I had never made nor eaten Chicken Cacciatore before so I had to try it. It is wonderful and makes a huge amount. I served with Saffron Rice which was salty, so I did not add much to the recipe. I will also add the garlic later in the recipe since mine was minced and immediately got too brown. Leftovers tonight!

We loved this recipe. Easy to make and inexpensive.
I served it on saffron rice as he did on the show it was so good!
I even bout his book: Cooking with the Firehouse Chef. Can?t wait to try some of his other recipes.
