Amazing, thx to Kevin Bacon! I added salt and a bit more sugar after cooking. Be sure to spread evenly on bacon. My "family" ate this up in moments, and I made 2 big stew pots worth!

I liked/loved the popcorn and it was wolfed down by my guests, but I don't know that it added much to pop the popcorn in the bacon grease. If I were to make it again, which I probably will, I would just bake the bacon and then pop the popcorn in canola oil. It tasted like regular popcorn, and the bits of solids that were in the bacon grease from the pan burned quickly and I had to skim them out. I melted a little butter over it, I couldn't resist, but the combination of maple sugar-y bacon pieces, smoked paprika and salt was really great.
