I made this in 3 layer form for my mother-in-law's birthday, and it was wonderful! Very different! I rolled and microwaved my Key Limes for a few seconds, and it only took me 8 to get enough juice! Very impressive cake!

YUMMO!!!! This is one of the best cakes I have ever tasted!! It is so refreshing. I used key limes and loved the flavor. It is now my "go to" cake. Trisha you are a wonderful cook...love your southern style!

Made this and took it to work. They loved it! Now they keep asking when will I bring it in again. Very easy to make and love your show. I went and brought your cookbook after seeing you on the view before you had your own show.

I have made this cake twice, wicked tastey!!! always a crowd pleaser. I follow the recipe in the Homecooking with Trisha Yearwood cookbook which is a layered cake and it is very moist. I cant wait to try it in a sheet cake because in is so moist it will be easier to serve, cant believe i didnt think to do that :So excited to see one of my favorite cooks share her family recipes to food newwork!!!!

WOW!!! My family ate it up. I did use key limes since they are in season. I followed the advice of using 1 cup of oil. The cake was moist and flavorful. Great summer dessert, super sinful :

Fantastic cake!! I used 4-5 regular limes and followed the recipe exactly. I took this to our Mother's day gathering and everyone liked it. My son wants it for his birthday. I talked about the show and the food so much my son and d-l-i gave me her cookbooks for Mother's day.
