The mango toppling tasted great but everything else was disgusting. The crust was chalky and tasteless. The cream cheese filling tasted like pure cream cheese, it needed more sugar.

I added more sugar and it was pretty good but next time I'll add more. 3 mango were enough.

Everyone loved it, except my husband. I agree it might need just a touch more sugar. I also plan to make it again with a couple of adjustments. First I think the crust might be a little easier if the butter is not cold and hard. I will try it it with semi softened butter. Also I think I will cut the gelatin mixture in half. I felt it was to much and it took away from the mango.

I agree that the original recipe is pretty bland. The crust and cream is tasteless, however with slight modifications the recipe is great as it is easy and quick. I made it twice. First time as per the original recipe and i was dissapointed. I decided to make it the second time as i still had all the ingrediends (i made asmaller version; 1/2 of the portions in the recipe. The second time I added 1 -2 tablespoons of sugar to the crust and didnt crush the nuts all the way. I also added juice of whole lime to the cream and made the jelly with fresh mango and canned peach. It was great the second time and will do it again as it is so simple!

I was extremely disappointed with this recipe. I had to toss the whole thing out. The recipe sounded great and looked really nice on TV. The biggest disappointment for me was the crust. I must say, I'm someone who doesn't really like very sweet desserts, but in this case preparing the crust without any sugar was a big mistake! The crust was really tasteless! Next time I'll have to make either a shortbread crust or some other crust that has at least some sweetness to it, since the cream and mango layers aren't very sweet either. The cream filling was good (if one likes cream cheese, I do, but again could use a little sweetness. My mango topping turned out well, though next time I may try something else like pineapple.

Awesome! Very easy and delicious! I had only 3 mangos on hand so substituted a med papaya with mangos. What a hit. Every thought I was super. Not too sweet and very refreshing.

Yukk! We ended up throwing this away. The crust smelled good coming out of the oven, but tasted horrible and tasted like butter. If I try again, I will make a shortbread cookie dough, that has sugar in it. The whipped cream needed more sugar and was bland. I used the canned pineapple and it tasted better once you ate the crust/creame layers, but not good enough to overcome the blandness of the crust and cream layers. The next time, if I try this again, in addition to making a shortbread cookie dough, I was thinking of brushing apricot preserves on the cooled crust and adding some toasted coconut. The cream I would sweeten and then maybe add some instant french vanilla pudding, like Paula Deen does in her "Not your mama's banana pudding" recipe. Then I would do the final layer like the recipe, except use the pineapple like the other reviewer suggested. Was expensive, considering I had to spend $17 on the nuts alone.

Everyone loved it....but I changed it a lil bit. Instead mango I used canned pineapple. As mangos are not in season here in california. I also substituted the macadamia nuts for hazelnuts. I will trey making it again during mango season.
