I live in San Diego, home of some fantastic fish tacos, and this recipe was a huge hit! I doubled the recipe and used tilapia instead of cod. I pureed my own can of chipotles and made half of the sauce with cilantro and half without for those who don't like it. I also didn't heat my tortillas using the olive oil, just on my cast iron skillet, dry on high heat. Fantastic!!!

I followed this recipe, as I've been looking for a good fish taco. I found the batter lackluster in flavor but more importantly, too "cake like" around the fish. When the fish cooled, the breading was soft and spongy, not "crispy" like a piece of fish in a fish taco should be. Will keep looking for a good fish taco recipe.
