I am vegetarian, so I left out the lamb; but still, there were too many ingredients that did not really add to the overall flavor. I have tried much simpler recipes with much better results.

My husband's favorite dish when we go out to Indian restaurants has always been lamb biriyani. When I made this for him, he said it was better than any restaurant version he had ever had! The only problem was that it took me a good 2 hours to make!
