This cake is great for occasions that you may not have a lot of time. I did it for a BBQ potluck and recieved lots of great comments! I would definately bake it again! And for the person that took the time to comment that Sandra Lee can't cook... well I think they should keep their comments to themselves if they don't have something constructive to say!

This cake is very tasty, and a perfect end to a summer bbq. I'm not usually a fan of lemon cakes, but it's so subtle that it just adds enough flavor to taste "fresh". And the blueberries are the perfect complement!

I use Sandra Lee's recipes for those last minute, "I don't have enough time to bake something from scratch" occasions. This one was just what I needed. Quick, easy, tasty and I already had everything in my kitchen. I used a white cake mix and added some lemon zest to the mix.

How can this be a recipe? It's just assembling store bought, trans fat filled food. I can't believe Sandra Lee has a show. She can't cook and I don't think anyone that can cook themselves, realizes that...

I made the cake just as the recipe read and it was great. Everyone loved it, even my picky eater! I arranged with my local grocery store bakery to sell me just the cake layers as they don't usually have them out or in the case.

It was so simple and easy to make - I used a box batter (confetti pieces in mix and Fruit Punch instead of lemonade, and orange extract for the frosting. Made it for coworkers for staff holiday party and called it "Not Your Typical Fruit Cake". Everyone loved how moist the cake was the the cream cheese frosting was also a hit. The colored confetting in the cake added to the festive look I wanted, and then to add the fruit flavor, well, let's just say they want me to bring it in again tomorrow.

Almost no one I serve this to has heard about it, but they all LOVE it!
The way I make it is a little less semi-homemade due to availability, but I still use box lemon cake mix. Then I just chill the cakes before cutting them to reduce the amount of crumbs:
Fantastic quick & easy recipe that will make people think you baked all afternoon!
Have we come to know anything less from Sandra Lee?

Impossible to have a cake with more flavor and be any easier to make.
