That wasn't cornstart it was the confectioner's sugar. It's that very ultra fine sugar that looks almost like it could be cornstarch.

I saw the show this week and thought he added cornstarch to the fruit but it isn't in the recipe.

I made this recipe exactly as written; I had some fresh strawberries and raspberries that desperately needed to be eaten, as they were about to go bad, so I stuck them in the freezer the night before. I combined them with a small bag of store-bought frozen blueberries/ blackberries/strawberries that I had and warmed them all with the confectioners sugar & lemon juice (I juiced a lemon in my juicer. I wish I had thought of cornstarch to thicken; next time I will try that. I cooked the granola as written (300 for 40 mins & it came out perfect, with plenty leftover for snacking. This was BY FAR the most delicious parfait I have ever tasted; my boyfriend & 8-yr-old daughter LOVED it as well. I will definitely be making this again... THANKS TYLER!

I made both the yogurt and granola as written, but substituted fresh fruit for the frozen since I had some on had. I sweetened the berries with the powdered sugar and lemon juice, but didn't cook it, just let it set on the counter for the berries to macerate. The granola recipe makes a LOT more than needed for the recipe but that is great because we love granola and this is a good one...not too sweet and perfectly crunchy.

I have been looking for a homemade granola recipe that I liked for the longest time. I made it today with just the oats and chopped hazelnuts. It was to die for. I cooked mine at 300 for the 40 minutes and it came out perfectly. I did add a little extra cinnamon. I am looking forward to topping off my yogurt each morning with it. My two year old daughter loves it also.. My husband even finished my leftovers...

Yum, yum! After trying so many prepackaged granolas, I could never find the perfect one. This is pretty close and now I know how to do it to make my own variation! I added sunflower seeds for fun! And, try pumpkin seeds for some extra omega-3. We couldn't wait for it to finish baking, we ate some right off the pan practically burning our mouth. It was worth it!

I followed the recipe to a "T". I baked the granola at 300 for 40 minutes total. I did stir it after 20 minutes. It did not burn and it came out crunchy and delicious. The first batch I made, I mistakenly doubled the brown sugar and it was still very good. I made the second batch as written and it was excellent with yogurt. Will certainly make this again.
