We only made the granola from this recipe and it was FANTASTIC. We did add more cinnamon (tripled and chopped the almonds. This is definitely a keeper!

I haven't made this granola yet but I definitely can't wait to try it. Looks delicious! My only issue is with the flaxseed; whole flaxseeds will pass right through your body undigested. So essentially that is just a waste. I would opt to grind them up myself (in a coffee grinder or purchase them already grounded, sprinkle over the mixture and bake. It doesn't taste like anything and you can sneak them in every dish undetected!!

An even better twist to this recipe would be to add some dried goji berries for a Superfood boost! =^_^=

I loved making the granola. It is best when warm. The only variation is the dried fruits in your pantry. I baked the granola at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. It was great. Now, I need to make more. WE ATE IT ALL!

yesterday I decided to make banana chips in my food dehydrator, this morning I checked out the food network channel online to see what I can use them for besides eating them alone as a snack, and I found Tylers Granola. I made it exactly as the recipe Online says and It came out perfect.
My whole family just loves it so I am going to make it and package it for Christmas presents this year, with the directions on how to layer it as in the recipe.
    Thanks Tyler!

    A fan forever

Very good. Easy to make. I made it almost exactly per recipe, just doubled the cinnamon. For future batches I might vary the dried fruits. And I reviewed recipe with TV script. Tyler does say bake for 20-25 minutes. That's what I did, stirring after 12-15 min. That amount of time was fine.

First of all, I must state up front my disappointment at the discrepancy between the show with this recipe and the recipe posted on the site. Luckily between my TIVO and the recipe, along with a few of my own changes, I was able to put together what everyone agreed was "the ultimate parfait".

    Granola:
Delicious. I cooked mine at 325(not the 300 on the recipeand cooked it for 40 minutes total. Beware, it might not look "done", but it will be once it cools. I did not add banana chips once cooled either as I don't care for them.

    Berries:
The show uses corn starch to thicken. The recipe does not have this in it. I ended up using more confectioner's sugar and it was tasty, though very syrupy.

    Yoghurt:
The show calls for plain yoghurt. The recipe says vanilla. I opted for plain and added a couple of packs of Splenda to it. The 1 1/2 cups it calls for is not enough to make parfaits for 4-5 people either, so make sure to buy the big container.

I used wine glasses to layer. It was beautiful and tasty. I would try this recipe again in a heartbeat.

First I think there is a typo in the directions - on the show he says to bake for 20 minutes not forty and it definately would have burned for any longer than that. I used slivered almond instead of whole and quick oats because it's what I had. It turned out very crunchy and super yummy. Thanks Tyler!

I baked this at 300 for 40 minutes, and it turned out just fine. I didn't have cranberries, but used dried pineapple along with the bananas. I've never been a real fan of granola, but this is wonderful!....and not so high in fat. This is a keeper in our house. Thanks, Tyler!

This is a great recipe with the exception of the bake time. On the actual show, Tyler says 350 for 20-25 minutes and I would agree. Otherwise it will burn. My family loves it!
