I made this for the first time and I love it! Only changes I made were to add andouille sausage and spinach at the end.

This soup is so tasty and very easy to make. I added a few other vegetables that looked good and it was a wonderful lunch for a group of friends.

Tasty and satisfying soup! Very easy to make. Versatile as well. I didn't have any leeks and recipe still turned out delicious. It's a keeper!

Yummmm! I halfed the recipe and switched out some of the ingredients. I didn't have leeks, green lentils or parmesan so I used what I had on hand: onions, brown lentils and pecorino romano cheese. It was still outstanding and so easy. Will definitely make this again.

Let me start off by saying I LOVE INA she is the best! I wish she was my aunt :! I am a young cook and I started learning to cook by watching and recording episodes of recipes I thought looked tasty! I have over 34 recordings of Ina's show. This was one of the recipes I made and it was delicious! I am always aprehensive to try new recipes especially when you have to buy lots of ingrediants but this was worth it! Even my picky daughter loved it so you know it's good if you can get your child to eat some veggies! I think it is healthy and delicious and I paired it with a greek salad. They offered this soup at Olympia Grill (Greek restaurant in Galveston and i told myself I was gonna make it at home so I followed Ina's amazing recipe and once again it turned out GREAT!

This is the best soup recipe ever!!!!! Looks a little complex but it's not and I am not a cook. Was a little skeptical about quantity of onions and leeks but all cooks down and you have no idea they are even in the soup, other than the great flavor. I made recipe (many times now and was sending link to friend. Just make the way they recommend the first time before you decide to change anything. I doubt you will want to change it the next time around.

I am not one to write a review but I had to this time. Ina amazing soup absolutely amazing! I made some changes. I ommitted the cumin. No green lentils where i live used regular lentils. Turn out perfect.Vinger was omitted and so was the cheese. The soup was excellent even without it. Thank you INA! You are the best!

This soup is delicious! But I did make some adjustments...besides halving the entire recipe, I added 2 cups of chopped kale and 1 1/2 teaspoons of curry powder. I omitted the cheese and used veggie stock instead because I am a vegan. My husband is vegetarian, so instead of adding cheese (b/c we didn't have any he added a dollop of sour cream and said it was very good.

I made this according to the recipe except I used regular lentils since the french green lentils are not sold where I live. This is a very hearty and satisfying soup. Very savory and delicious! I will definitely make this again, especially for cold winter days. Thanks Ina, you are the best!

Simple delicious! I made some changes just because I did not have some ingredients. I used regular lentils, I added a tsp of ketshup instead of the vinegar and I used a combination of chicken stock and beef stock. I followed the instructions and this soup turned up in a delicious dinner. I only made a half of a pound of lentils and everything half and I did have a lot of soup so be careful if you don't have a big family
