I am a vegetarian and I was craving some spaghetti and meatballs. The store bought vegatarian "meatballs" are not my favorite. Made these meatballs and used them with spaghetti, added sage to the portobello ragout- very delicious. I plan to make the portobello ragout again and use it as a filling for ravioli. Would definately recommend putting the onions and mushrooms in a food processor instead of chopping for a finer texture and less clean up :

Good for the week and easy to prepare. Add chopped sweet onions and some garlic for a slightly different texture and flavor. Either way its Mmm mmm good, especially if you're like me and just starting to cook.

I've made this recipe 3 times now, and everytime it's get better. I make the lasagna roll-ups - not the meatballs - and serve right away. I don't freeze it. They are delicious! This is my preferred alternative to the normal heavy lasagna, laden with cheese and beef. This is filling and light at the same time. It's wonderful.
