I too tried this recipie the first time and thought that the flavor was too subtle. I really enjoy the flavor combination of lime cilantro so I kicked it up a bit and added more lime and more cilantro. I did not seed the jalepenos in hopes that it would have a little more kick. And since it was all pureed, I did not see any in the marinade when it was completed. The marinade tasted wonderful and had a nice kick to it. I also put them in a vaccum sealed bag which I understand also helps pull the flavor in.

I will admit I have not tried them yet since I tweeked it. But I think I will make a little more of the marinade and brush it on just before serving to ensure the kick I tasted when I tried the marinade.

I love this recipe. My husband didn't care for the avocado dip. He just prefers it on chips, but I loved it! : Keeper & very flavorful.

Some of the reviewers indicated that the marinated didn't permeated the wings. Rather than marinating the whole wing, has anyone tried cutting the wings at the joints (tossing that little end that serves no purpose, except maybe to use for stock where the marinated would seep into the meat portion of the wings? I plan to try this recipe, but perhaps this marinade is for 'coating' the skin only, rather than flavoring the meat. Whichever, it sounds good to me, so I'm going to give it a whirl.

Whenever I marinate chicken I always poke little holes in the skin and flesh so the marinade flavors down to the bone. I really liked this recipe, and the was great.

I read all the reviews before making this and decided to leave out the oil in the marinade, and added the extra jalopano. Very blan although the marinade tasted great. I started thinking about chicken wings and realized that every time I have made them they were not marinaded, but a sauce of some sort was put on after or just before they were finished this may work better as a toss then eat. Dip needed more heat otherwise very good I would add a jalopano to the dip.

meh. I'd make the avocado dip again (I can never get enough of avocados! but not the chicken. As most reviewers have commented, the flavor doesn't get infused into the chicken, so even marinating it overnight results in relatively flavorless chicken.

My family and I love this so much but our favorite pat was the dip. When I made it (the dip I didn't pay that much attention to the ingredients and actually did 1 and a half limes not 1 and a half tablespoons. It turned out great though!

the marinade was delicious but it did not penetrate the chicken very well.. i made it with 2 jalepenos and still didnt get a nice spicy kick. the avocado dip was pretty good but i left out the cilantro just because it is too strong. the wings are good for older people and young kids who dont like spicy things. also the cooking directions werent very good.. making them on the grill is much better because the wings wont turn out soggy or burnt

I tried these on legs and they were really good. It's a nice base that you can tweak, depending on your tastes. I like it both a little sweeter and hotter so I added another jalapeno and more honey. It's really good on the grill.
