This chicken was delicious, moist, and flavorful. The whole family loved it! We did, however, feel it was too salty. (Except for my youngest, who would put salt on ham if I let him. I used Kosher salt and made the recipe exactly as written. I will cut the salt in half next time, and that should make it perfect! If you try this recipe, pay attention to whether or not your chicken comes packaged in a sodium solution or not. (Some do, some don't. If it does, definitely cut back on the salt in the marinade.

Yummy! Hubby just made this tonight. AWESOME! (Exclaims 6-year old and Mommy! Stick with the kosher salt, and you will have no problem with over saltiness. He also subbed dried onion flakes for red onion, and it was SOOOOOO GOOD! (Note - We did thighs, bone in, skin on, on a Weber with brikets...FABULOUS!!!!
Happy grilling!

My husband and I really, really liked this recipe. It was very flavorful, even after only 3.5 hours of marinating. I added more basil because I had it on hand, but otherwise followed the recipe. To those who say it's too salty, you may need to adjust the measurements if you're using table salt. The recipe is written for kosher salt, which measures differently by volume. I used table salt myself, but I cut down the amount accordingly. This will be my new go-to marinade, especially when I'm short on time.

This was super easy and delicious. My husband took one bite and exclaimed it was the best chicken he'd ever had. We both loved it. Will definitely be making this one again! (I didn't cook it on an actual grill - just a grill-style frying pan.

We loved this recipe. It's easy and deelish. I cooked it in the grill pan, which worked out well. I just don't know if I would call it "Basil-Marinated." The basil was not the strongest flavor as all of the marinade items combined to create a nice flavor. It's good!

This is a really tasty and easy marinade but I reduce the salt to just 1/2 tsp. Otherwise, the salt is all you taste. You can add or substitute fresh rosemary for the basil. This marinade is equally good on grilled pork. Although it's not low-carb, I like to serve this with garlic-mashed potatoes & basil and a simple steamed or grilled fresh vegetable. Economical, quick, easy and satisfying!

A delicious and easy barbacue sauce to make. I had everything in the house. I also used half re-wine vinegar. Very good, and I will make this again. Everyone like this and as usual Giada always comes through with delicious recipes!!
