I made soft tacos with it and my whole family loved it. I used flank steak since I had one on hand.

I am always concerned when I see HABENARO as it can be very overpowering. This marinade was excellent. Gave it just the right amount of heat. I marinaded about 8 hours and got good flavors throughout the meat. I would let the meat rest longer than 5 minutes and you MUST cut skirt steak across the grain or it will be very tough. Great flavor, a hit with the family.

My sisters surprised my for my birthday but I already had the meat marinating so I told them they had to suffer through my experimental dinner. It was amazing. They were impressed with the entire meal and surprised that I would attempt this recipe. I didn't tell them how easy it was. I will make this again and again. I am hoping Melissa wins so we can get more easy, exciting recipes.

I marinaded the steak exactly as directed. I let it sit in the fridge for almost 6 hrs before grilling. It tasted AMAZING. I plan on using this marinade again very, very soon.

I made this recipe exactly and it came out very moist and tender. The trick is in cutting skirt steak. You have to cut it on the bias against the grain. If you cut it with the grain, it will come out stringy and tough, because you will have those long strands of meat to chew through.

My headline just about says it all. I marinated the skirt steak all day, and it was a disappointment. Make sure your dentures are firming attached if applicable before taking a bite of this. I've read the other reviews, and feel like I'm in a parallel universe! Oh, and the beans were blah. Mango salsa okay, though.

My husband and I made Melissa's recipe for dinner last night. It was absolutely amazing!! A true treat for the pallet! The blend of flavors of the spicy peppers, the sweet honey and mango and the tartness of the limes made this a taste sensation! The black beans simmered in red wine were a treat! We can't wait to make this dish for a dinner party! Bravo!!

I made this and it was a hit. We just made tacos instead of the tostada's but it was awesome. The Mango Salsa was a huge surprise, it was so sweet with a little bite. We had some left over so did chicken tacos the next night and it was just as good.
