I've been making this fudge for 30 years. I use milk chocolate chips and Hershey bars. It's so creamy and rich! It makes a LOT of fudge! I also boil my milk and sugar for 8 minutes, not six, and stir constantly so it doesn't burn.

Excellent "old school" fudge that must be stirred after being coming off the stovetop. Fudge of this type MUST be stirred until it Thickens, then poured or scooped in to prepared , buttered dish(s.

The fudge was super easy to make and set fast. It was good, just not as great as I expected it to be.

I have been making this fudge every Christmas for about 5-6 years. It is a winner every year.

This fudge tasted delicious, but it did not set well at all. I could not even cut it with a knife after being in the refrigerator all night, all I could do was spoon it out like hot fudge for my family to taste! I followed the directions precisely (I made three huge batches for Christmas gifts which makes it so much worse! and they all turned out the same. Needless to say I will not make this ever again! Something is not right in the recipe.....

I made this and my family loved it!!! We loved this recipe. It's rich and creamy. My sons think it tastes like frosting. I think it taste like fudge you get in a specialty shop. I did not add nuts, because we not big on them, but this came out great without them. The recipe fails to say that you need to continue to stir the sugar mixture before and after it boils to prevent it from burning. A new family recipe!

I tried this recipe 3 times and each time, the sugar burned. I think the amounts in the recipe may be a misprint. Check for other fudge recipes before you try this one.
