It would be better if the fish is seasoned or previously marinated.

I used large shrimp instead of fish and they were great. I planned for 3 shrimp in each small tortilla shell, however the batter puffs up nicely, two is plenty. The two sauces are a MUST. I used flour tortillas instead of corn. I also used Dos Equis (XX Amber. I will make these again, next time I will try fish.

The perfect Valentine's Day dinner for my husband. They were super easy to make and really delicious. I used halibut and think that I might try mahi mahi next time. The lemon sauce is a must and the cabbage adds a wonderful crunch. This recipe is definitely going to be a regular for us. Thanks for a great new show, I Tivo it every week as Mexican dishes are big favorites in my house. I want to try the choco flan next weekend...looks too decadent!

I made these for my family (ages 8, 4, and 4 for the kids, who called it the "best meal EVER!" I grilled the fish after marinading it in citrus and soy, but that was unimportant. The creamy dressing brightened it all up and got all three kids to eat raw cabbage. I call that a win.

I made these fish tacos and my in-laws came over for dinner and everyone loved theme. I used two kinds of fish talapia and orange roughy and they were both very good and went well with the batter. I will most definitely be making these agian and I may even try this batter with some shimp too!!! The sauce was very good and went very well with the tacos. I really do love this show and look forward to making more of Marcela's dishes!!

I made these with perch instead of halibut. So tasty. The sauces are delish.

Made these for the family last night and I must say they were a great hit. All of the flavors complimented each other and although it takes a while to put together, it was well worth it. These will be a staple in this house.

I live in So. Cal between San Diego and Tijuana and am exposed to many good fish taco recipes. These are a seriously delicious fish taco! We absolutely loved them. The lemon cream is incredible and as others have commented, can be used in other dishes. I broiled some fillets (I used halibut for some family members and it was still delicious. The batter however for me makes the dish. I stayed with the Negro Modelo beer and it was light and puffed up beautifully when fried. A keeper!

My wife has shouldered the majority of the cooking duties for the last 17 years. I've been a willing griller, but otherwise not much help in the kitchen. I've been trying to get better, and part of my self improvement program has been learning from the best on FN. Something about Marcela's menu on today's show clicked with me, and I tackled the whole thing, Drunken Salsa, Fish Tacos and Chocoflan. I absolutely nailed all three dishes, and we both loved them. The lemon based crema and the drunken salsa melded together beautifully in the tacos. The Negro Modelo beer batter was perfect. Not too heavy and not too light. Thank you so much Marcela. This was a wonderful early valentine to make for my wife. Love your new show.
