for having a wonderful show and a recipe that i didn't have to alter.
We adore mexican foods in our household. Sadly I am allergic to so many foods which include pork & peppers..that are a large part of the mexican food culture.
If you could suggest something that could be substituted for peppers. For the kick? I was thinking horseradish but....I'm sure there really isn't a suitable substitute. Maybe you could do a show on substitutions.. you know for health rreasons. If not, never fear i'll keep looking for more on this line and altering myself on the others. :

This is a fantastic (and super easy recipe. I made this skirt steak for steak fajita night at my house. Served on grilled tortillas with sour cream, homemade spicy salsa, grilled onions, shredded cheese and avocado. Out of this world! My kids and my hubby absolutely raved. Lots of flavor with very little effort. Thanks for another easy weeknight meal that the entire family loves!

Fabulous recipe and is just like my family always made it. The beer Marcela was using (even though the recipe calls for a light beer was Negra Modelo. I would know that bottle and partial label anywhere, it's my favorite beer. Please make sure Marcela stays on the Food Network. I am Mexican and I can tell you that her food is authentic and easy to make. Everyone I know, including me is crazy about her. Don't let her out of our sight!!

I'm really looking forward to making this recipe - sounds wonderful. I've been searching for a good fajita dish. However, I was wondering if anyone had a beer recommendation. I'm not a beer drinker and I have to admit that I may not know a good beer from a bad one. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks and Thanks Marcella for a refreshing take on Mexican Cuisine!

I made this today. I did not have an orange so I substituted a lemon and added a tablespoon of agave syrup. It turned out great!

I cooked it on the grill outdoors. Fast and delicious. The whole family and friends loved it. The best way to serve carne asada!!!
