I made the avocado and tomatillo salsa. It was so delicious! I served it on top of Giada's turkey and spinach taquitos.

VERY GOOD!!! This is my new favorite way to get my mexican fix at home. LOVED the sour cream and lime combo! I followed the recipe to a T with the exception of cooking two boneless skinless chicken breast in a skillet with some spices and then shredding. We all really liked the radishes. Added great flavor and crunch. I think next time I might add some garlic to the salsa as I think it might of been missing something.. it was very good but could of used maybe onion or garlic.

The first time I made these I thought they were so-so. My son loved them but said "no radishes next time." He kept remembering the tostadas and requesting them, so literally months later I decided to try them again. This time they were absolutely scrumptious. First change: deep fried the tortillas as Marcela demonstrated on the show, instead of buying the pre-made kind. Also, I used the refried beans with lard (there IS so much more flavor there than the vegetarian kind. Next, I got my hands on Mexican crema instead of sour cream. The dish was GREAT! Thanks for being the first chef to make me want to actually cook.

Made this exactly as written with very minor addition of fresh lime juice squeezed over after assembly. Don't skip the radishes. They add a nice crunch.

Really good and easy! I like to add chopped tomatoe and avocado and sprinkle some salt and lime. Perfect! Not making the chicken is the way to go! I didn't add the onions nor radishes. Scallions can be substitued instead or nothing at all. Also,I didn't add any cheese to cut calories. You don't need to make the tostadas. They sell them in packages like tortillas at all major grocery stores.

I altered this SALSA a bit to make it more of a liquid tomatillo salsa like my mom makes. You boil the tomatillos, clove/s of galic, just until soft. In a blender add, the soft tomatillos, garlic, onion, cilantro, avocado, jalapeno/s, lemon juice, salt/pepper to taste. (oh you can add the liquid from the boiled water to make a loose as you'd like. And Whala! You have yourself a flavorful liquid tomatillo salsa, that you can use for topping of any sort of food, chilaquiles, enchiladas, dip. etc. Hope you enjoy!

These were awesome! Only change, I didn't use the radishes. Salsa and the mix of flavors were so good. This was easy too for a weeknight meal. Hubs said it was a keeper and I totally agree.
