This is real mexican confortable food!!!!
This rice is delicioso, the same taste my mom cook,
marcela is the only one that cook, the real way mexican housewifes
we cook everday at home...
I love other shows, but mexican food, only rhis show, ...
please foodnetwork, move marcela to prime hours...and give her more days....

Simple and delicious way to introduce my wife to the amazing flavor of grilled poblano peppers!! This dish is full of flavor and not too spicy.

Loved this recipe! I found this recipe while searching for new side recipes for during lent. I was very surprised, my hubby ate it up & he is sometimes a picky eater : I had to use less sour cream/crema because the hubby doesnt like it but I added just enough and he didnt even notice. Very delicious & yummy. Will make again & again.

I DVR your show, and saw this recipe last night. Made a double batch, and my family went NUTS! So I took some up to a couple of college girls who go to school here, but call Juarez home. They were texting me right away and said it tasted just like their moms. They were in heaven has it has been 4 months since they last had a true taste of home. We will be making this again, and again and again.

I have to admit that I am very hard to convince to change or try any new Mexican-style rice recipes because my Mom taught me how to make her "famous" rice when I was just 9 years old. I haven't changed the recipe one bit & have taught my own daughter & son how to make it with her recipe. I watched Chef Marcela's program in which this recipe was shown & it looked very delicious. So, I decided to try it out on myself & my family. I have to say, that this recipe is very good, pretty simple to make & quite fun to make because of roasting the poblano chiles. It's our new favorite recipe which I'm sure my Mom would have liked as well. :o Yummy!

This was awesome!!everyone loved it. Instead of the poblano chilies I added a 7 oz. can of green chilies. I used 1/4 cup of sour cream and used pepper jack cheese and added some chunks of cream cheese. I mixed everything together and didn't put under a broiler.

TasteLESS. It was just not very good. I added cilantro and cooked the rice in chicken stock for flavor and it was just not good. I threw most of it out.
