I've made this one several times, and in fact, I'm making it again today for a neighborhood BBQ. Last time I made it was for a potluck at work. I work with some very picky people, and they're not easily impressed. Several folks asked for this recipe, so it must have been good!

I really wouldn't suggest changing anything about Marcela's recipe or technique. It comes out perfect every time. Moist, spongy cake, and rich, creamy flan. The chopped pecans on top add a nice crunch.

I always bake for my co-workers and when I made this recipe, they all said it was the best cake I'd ever made for them.

This cake is is becoming my staple cake. Everyone that tries it loves it. I did however, try and make it a bit healthier by using low fat cream cheese and whole wheat flour. No one has ever said anything :

I made this dessert this weekend for the 1st time and aced it! It was delicious and something so different!
The recipe was easy to follow, even though i had to convert to grams. I had it in the oven for 1h05min and tested with a toothpick. I used a silicon bunpt pan and it easily slipped out when i turned it, even thou i had not waited an entire hour for it too cool. Thanks alot!Love the show.

¡Me encanta! This cake is always a hit. Does need longer than an hour to cook....this time I made my water bath a little deeper, and only needed about 7 min extra. I know this cake will be gone in a day.

I've made this recipe sooooo many times in chocholate and Vanilla and it always comes out delicious. It's a croud pleaser all the time. I even mention it to a co-worker of mine and she made it and loved it aswell. I even used laughing cow cream cheese for less calories and it still came out good. Thanks for the recipe.

Delicious! I took me three times to get it right, but that is because I hardly bake.

Excellent!!! I made this for our World Cuisine Club when we had Mexican/Southwest night. It got rave reviews. I too had to cook it an additional 20 minutes due to high elevation. The recipe looks intimadating, but it really is easy and the presentation is awe-inspiring.
