Terrible. My husband and I cook a lot, and this was, by far, the worst recipe we made in awhile. We followed the recipe to a T, and it was not good. It had no taste whatsoever. It was watery and flavorless. We do not recommend this to anyone who has tasted tortilla soup at a good Mexican restaurant.

Best recipe so far! And I've tried quite a few. Of course I made a few adjustments like adding rotisserie chicken and cilantro. But I love the roasted garlic and tomato flavor. And just the right amount of spice! Perfect for a cold night.

Excellent!!! I have tried MANY versions of this soup and this stands out. I live in California where we have tried this at many restaurants. This homemade version is simply the best. Marcela knows her authentic ingredients and foundation for a great Mexican meal!

Excellent!! By far the freshest, most delicious tortilla soup recipe I've tried, & we've cooked up DOZENS of recipes. This is how I remember the tortilla soup in Central Mexico, years ago.... ahhh flavor!!! We bought her cookbook after we made this, and several more, of her fantastic recipes.

This was so yummy! The best part is that is was also easy. Definitely a keeper. I made a couple of slight adjustments - added a Chile de arbol (for extra spice and a pinch of cumin. It was awesome with queso fresco and avocado.

Really healthy, easy and quick to make. Most tortilla soup recipes are just too much. This was perfect. I also added some shredded chicken.

This recipe is amazing. The ingredients were easy to find and it was not difficult to make. The taste is authentic and the flavors are bold. I am in love. I checked out this lady's book from the library and I was not impressed with her offerings, however, when I saw this show I was compelled to try this soup. It's off the chart tasty. I must also add that it was not included in her book. Oh, and did I mention that this is a very healthy and nutritious meal! I added diced chicken and the the tortilla chips on top to really make it hearty.
