This was a very delicious recipe. Marcela is right about Yukon Gold potatoes. The skin is so thin you don't even need to bother peeling. Just rinse and cook. I used a stick of Smart Balance instead so I didn't feel so glutinous and because it was what I had in the house. My bag of potatoes was 5 lbs and I probably used about 3-1/2 or 4 lbs. I didn't change the amount heavy cream in the corn mixture, and it came out perfect. My mother loved them so much that she just had a plate of this and bread first. She didn't even care about the ribs..........which were also delicious by the way. Thanks for such a wonderful recipe. Didn't think mashed potatoes could get any better!

The potatoes were excellent. I would add the cream and butter mixture slowly as I had to boil more potatoes to thicken up the potatoes because it was too much liquid for the potatoes. Fantastic taste and it was a hit at the dinner party.

Yum! We used fresh sweet corn from the farmer's market and it was a hit. I added the liquid a bit at a time until reaching the perfect consistency.

Another great Marcela recipe! It's over-the-top rich and decadent with all the butter and cream involved (these could easily give Paula Deen a run for her money. Like one of the other reviewers, I wound up with excess liquid -- I just added what I needed to the potatoes and poured a little of the leftover over the plated potatoes.

Everything Marcela made on 'Papa's Party' I made for dinner yesterday. Everyone loved the corn mashed potatoes, several took seconds. I used 5 lbs. of potatoes and kept everything else the same. One of my daughter's asked for the recipe, I told her the truth. Will do this one again.

These are pretty fabulous. I have always loved to mix my corn in with my mashed potatoes, this is even better!!! Must try.

This was so easy to make and the taste was awesome. I used Half & Half instead of heavy cream. My wife really enjoyed this and since it's just us, we have leftovers to use with another dish. Thanks for the recipe!!!
