it was fantastic, but we didn't have figs and instead we used strawberries since that's what we had. I imagine it would work with a lot of fruits too. I may have cooked it longer than the time specified here until it was as thick as I liked it. Definitely an incredibly rich dish and a little serving will go a long way.

Cooking time is not long enough and heat needs to be higher to thicken it well.
Added more honey to bring up the flavor.
A great addition to many cheeses though and I think a great
compliment to meat.
