My husband made this for us on Game Day and it was delicious!! It was fresh and full of flavor. We added some hot sauce to ours cause we like it spicy. We followed the recipe exactly besides the hot sauce and it was quick and easy to prepare. I don't like mine with tomatoes so this was right up our alley. We also made the wings she made that day and they were delicious too!!! I had to go to 2 different stores to get the Ancho powder but it was worth it. They were sweet and somewhat spicy. There good for those who really don't like hot foods because there mild. So far I'm a fan of the show. She is young-looking and cute. Something fresh for the Network.

I am always shocked when adults act like they are teenagers with bad attitudes ( Pat you are the # 1 defender. You don't care for the show or the Guac. Simple to fix, don't watch it, don't make it, no need to be so condescending in your comment. Even if you offered anything of importance it would truly be missed by your immature antics.

When I had guacamole in Mexico, I detected what I would describe as a distinct uniquely floral note, and this recipe really nails it; I learned that guacamole doesn't have this specific wonderful quality unless it contains both lime juice and cilantro (lemon juice changes the taste of the entire recipe---I much prefer lime juice in guacamole. I also had a lot of food in Mexico that was subtly spiced, and quite a few dishes without any hot peppers. Kudos to Ms Valadolid for enlightening us to the fact that some Mexican dishes are devoid of hot chiles and are still perfectly authentic. Kudos to Ms Valladolid for specifying white onion, which is a specific variety often used in Mexican recipes and it does indeed make a difference. It will make your dishes taste more authentic. Its not the same as the yellow-skinned white variety. This recipe is lovely and authentic just as it is and merits 5-Stars without any further embellishments.

Both the chips and the guacamole were easy enough to make and great tasting.
I sqeezed half a lime into the oil before brushing on the chips to make lime tortilla chips, came out better than store bought ones!

I love this simple recipe. I was really happy that I got to bake these chips and get the same crunchy, delicious taste I can only get when I go to a real mexican restaurant. The kids loved them and they were also happy they could coat the tortillas with the oil. The guacamole was also simple and delicious! Thanks Marcela! Love your show!

This guacamole is fresh and vibrant. Best guacamole recipe I have tried so far. Chips were great too (better than store bought but make sure you check them after ten minutes as some of mine got too brown after 15 minutes.

This guacamole was great! I was unsure about adding onions to it but it was really good! I would definitely make it again. (I did not make the chips. Thanks!
