I have a fond love of mexican food and i have visited mexico many times. This pizza tastes just like a dish i had in cancun 7 years ago in a restaurant on the beach. It was a wonderful, family friendly, and simple dish that brought me back to Cancun.

Everybody loved it! I drained a lot of the chorizo fat before puttin on the dough. I also cook my dough at 450 until slightly brown before putting on toppings. The crust is crispier this way.

OK if you can get good chorizo- chorizo is often particularly fatty, and you lose a lot by draining it, but will have a very greasy pizza otherwise. Why store bought dough? And the baking instructions are off- it varies a lot from oven to oven, but 550 degrees for 8-10 minutes at the bottom of the oven is about right.

pizza dough is spread with refried beans then its topped with: cooked chorizo, pickled jalapenos slices ( nacho jalapenos, a bit of chopped cilantro, diced onions and monterey jack cheese. the flavors are awesome. Marcelas version is for kids who most of the time dont care for bold flavors.

Hi Marcela,
I make homemade pizzas all the time, and I had never thought of making a chorizo pizza! I am so excited because I do make my own chorizo burritos with scrambled eggs or eggs & potatoes. Love your show and your recipes! So, please keep these great recipes coming.
