    I have also tried to re-create this but never got it quite right. I did not have a can of evaporated milk and still had excellent results. I am so happy with this show because I feel they really showcase some great dishes from my childhood. Cannot wait to try the ChocoFlan cake.

    I grew up eating aroz con leche, and I have tried numerous times to re-create this delicious treat my grandmother used to make. I always undercook the rice, or it comes out so bland.

    This recipe was so easy to follow. I didn't add raisins (I personally do not like them but the whole thing came out GREAT! Even my husband was suprised that I finally got it right! It was creamy and so comforting! I can't wait to make it again!

    Thank you Marcela for this delicious authentic treat!

    *PS. I did add a pinch of salt to the rice while it was boiling...it does bring out the flavors more!

    This is so easy and so good!. I did add a pinch of salt because I believe it brings out the sweetness.

    I watched Marcela on Saturday and decided to try out the recipe. I used 2 cups of whole milk as per the show. While the rice pudding was cooking, I checked the recipe online and saw that 1 cup of milk was listed. I took a ladle and scooped out 3/4 cup of liquid. As the pudding thickened, I added the excess milk mixture and the pudding came out just fine; creamy and not overly sweet. I added both golden raisins and dried cranberries. Next time, I'm going to substitute coconut milk for the evaporated milk (just like my Puerto Rican "abuela" did when I was growing up. All my panic was for nothing, but it does bother me when the show's ingredients do not match the online version.

    Have had several Arroz con Leche this delicious that other friends have made, but never bothered to ask for recipe. This recipe is just perfect. Not very sweet and very creamy. Very satisfying. Did add two cups of milk like Maricela did on T.V. Maricela keep doing an excellent job in showing others how to cook authentic Mexican food. Most of your recipes are done just like my Mother makes them. ;

    Thank you for finally showing me authentic mexican recipes. My mother died before she could show me how to cook my favorite things and I have been looking everywhere for authentic recipes without much success. Also, you make everything so much easier than other recipes that I am not afraid to try them.

    This recipe is so simple that I figured I'd go for it since I only needed the canned milks. Now keep in mind that I'm not a fan of rice or pudding, but she made it look really creamy and appetizing. I was honestly surprised at how good it was, and it wasn't overly sweet at all. I loved it, and so did my husband.

    Exquisito y sencilllo de cocinar, gracias por esta receta simple. , solo hay que hacer notar que en la television se preparo con dos tazas de leche y en la recete menciona una taza. Yo la prepare con dos tazas de leche, mas la lata de condensada y evaporada, quedo delicioso.
