These were super good and easy....but i couldn't get them to come out of the pan, so I grabbed chunks and dipped them in melted chocolate....WOW!!! They were like mounds chocolate bars.

Made this yesterday and my family loved it. Taday I went back for a second piece and it was all gone. You do not need to measure the ingredients. Just add the entire 7 oz bag of coconut and add enough of condense milk to moisten it and you're good to go. I would love to dip the baked pieces in chocolate next time as one reviewer suggested. Thank you Marcela. Your recipes are so good.

very simple, very yummy dessert; condensed milk is one of the Cuban staples we had in my home growing up.
Dont worry about the exact amount of coconut or condensed milk, use your sweet tooth as a guide. so easy you can make it over and over and add stuff to it.

I made this dish for a church potluck today; it was a definite hit! One lady asked me for the recipe (who am I to horde a fabulously delish recipe?. I shared it, then someone asked her for it, and so on, and so on ... I also added a handful of chocolate chips and slivered almonds I had on hand. This is such a wonderful base recipe for potential twists and add-on's. The only thing I would've done differently would be to let it get toasty brown all over, and not just the edges as the recipe instructs. Thank you, M for sharing, and please keep the user-friendly recipes coming!

it was really good, but i added a bit too much parlamat milk, and it was really gooey. it should bake for 22 minutes, not 20 minutes.

I tuned in to the Show, Saturda., Marcela said four cups of coconut. That's what I used. Next time I'll use a little more. Probably the entire 7 oz. bag. AT any rate it was excellent. I took it to a church potluck. It was a big hit.

The other thing I'm going to try is mixing coco in the evaporated milk.

The posted recipe says 5 and one half cups of coconut. On the show you said four cups. Which one is correct?? I'm going to make it but top it with chocolate.

Saw the show for the first time this morning and loved how quick and simple the recipes were. I had both shredded coconut and condensed milk and made this and it is delicious. I would suggest maybe using 2/3 or 3/4 condensed milk can rather than the whole as my tooth began hurting. But I was amazed how delicious it turned out just using 2 ingredients.

Just wanted to say Marcela, that I will be making it this evening along with the Machaca burrito's. Outstanding as always. I missed you last week and was so happy to see that you were on this weekend. I love that you had a picnic with you son. You go girl!
