Marcela, this recipe takes me back to my childhood when my Mom used to make this for us. I am so happy that now I know how to make it for my grandkids. I followed your recipe exactly and it came out really, really good. You recipes are easy to make and really delicious. You are an awesome chef!!!!

The Cocada is sweet and sticky and luscious. Every time we make it we get requests for the recipe. We took it to a Christmas Tamale party and dipped some pieces in chocolate. Super Decadent. Marcella has become one of my FAVORITE Chef's. Every recipe that I try, I have loved and I've tried a lot of her recipes.

Haven't tried it yet but it looks good. Just wanted to say to Erikalizette that her review mentioning her Bunco group gave me my smile for the day.
So bitter sweet for me as I remember my grandparents and my mom and aunts used to play bunco every Sunday evening at my grandparents house. They are all gone now and you never hear anyone mention Bunco.
    Thank you Erikalizette!

The perfect dessert! Quick, easy, sweet, and only a couple ingredients. I've recently been diagnosed with a gluten allergy and I was excited when I read the labels on the ingredients and everything was gluten-free :

I pay $1 for a tiny piece of cocada at the Mexican markets. This was just as delicious and too easy to make. I will make this again and I may add-in nuts and/or chocolate chips just to vary. Delicious, though, just the way the recipe is.

Eating this sweet, delicious bark made me feel like a kid at Christmas. It's really simple to make, and the taste payoff is off the chart. Like some other reviewers, I added a few ingredients: dried cranberries, chopped walnuts and white chocolate chips. So good I finished it in less than a week! Thanks, Marcela!
