Read the comments but made the recipe as written and it came out great! Maybe it needed to be 'packed down' more to keep it together? We love macaroons, so this is an easy way to have a whole pan of them without having to bake them as separate cookies. Will make this again, and may use a cookie cutter to cut out round shapes.

What a awful recipe. It fell apart. I think it needs more than 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk. Very easy recipe.

Love your show! Tried the Coconut Bark for a small dinner party my best friend gave-adding toasted macadamia nut pieces, and when it was done baking I spread melted bitter sweet chocolate over the top. They ate the whole pan and we will be making it again - maybe adding some pineapple chunks, chocolate covered pieces of cherry, etc. It's fun to play with good recipes for family and friends. Thanks. Look forward to more of your shows with recipes easy to pull together for our "bring something and enjoy an evening with good friends. Janet Z - Seattle 8/20/10

I made the recipe from the online instructions. It was not at all gooey, as I was hoping and didn't really sticky together at all. I am wondering if the recipe measurements are incorrect. Mine definitely needed more sweetened condensed milk. I'll try using more next time.

I made to batches. One just plain and one I added rasins and chocolate chips. Both were great. You can't miss on this sweet treat! Anybody tried a bit of crunchy peanut butter in them yet? I am thinking of it next.

I saw this recipe and thought easy great two of my husband's favorite ingredients. Well I baked for 20 minutes and let cool, top and edges were brown but when I cut them they were too gooey liked they weren't baked long enough. So back in the oven they went for another 10 minutes. Still same thing not bark like, still gooey . Again back in the oven another 10 minutes still gooey I can't cook longer than that they will burn. My husband still loved them.

I love Marcela's cooking approach to quick and easy yet culturally rich meals. This Cocada was delicious and super easy to make. I over-baked it, and it was still great, but I know what to do next time!

hi, it seems this recipe might be better with the addition of some egg whites, its very similar to a macaroon recipe.
