I'm so glad that FN finally has a mexican cooking show! As much as I enjoy watching all the other chefs on FN, no one really makes me want to try their food. Marcela, on the other hand, makes meals that remind me of summers with my familia back in Mexico. This dish is so simple and yet I've never thought to make it until I saw it on the show. This show is a long time coming and I hope it stays around. I'm not sure why it didn't air today, nor why its not on the schedule for next week, but DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW, FOODNETWORK!!

I have had papas con chorizo my whole life and this recipe is right on the money. This is exactly how i learned it from my "abuelita". This show is so much fun for me - I have learned a couple of new recipes from Marcela and I enjoy her show immensely. I enjoy her twist on some dishes and the fond memories it brings. I am thrilled that everyone can learn how easy Mexican everyday cooking can be. As for this dish - different brands of chorizo cook up differently. The brand I use has a lot more "fat" in it so I do not start with any additional oil and I need to drain quite a bit of before throwing in my potatoes. As long as you cook is slow, you can judge for yourself if you need to drain it at all.
Hope this show stays a very long time.

This was myfirst time cooking and eating chorizo. The recipe is a flavorful combination of ingredients and is really simple to make. I used a Habernos Lime tortilla and pepper jack cheese.

I made this recipe this morning since I had all the ingrediants and I didn't want eggs for a change. I actually made it with soy chorizo because that's what I had. I'm not a soy person, but it tasted good. In my opinion, this is a good meal to have for breafast not for a BBQ and invite friends and family. There are other great mexican appetizers to make for a BBQ.

Good job! I have had chorizo before in the past but never with potato. Thank you so much for a different take on this dish, and i 'm looking forward to some of your other recipes.

I made this recipe over the weekend and added egg and cheese then wrapped them into flour tortillas. My son loved them. I made 10 burrito's this morning there was only 1 left.
Thank you for the delicous and easy recipe.

This was a nice change to plain old potatoes! Next time when the kids are not home, I'll add some jalapeno to spice it up even more.
