This recipe was so delicious and easy. Yes, labor intensive, but I prepared it 2 hours before. I let the fish sit in the lime juice for an hour, then drained and combined with the veggies and waited another hour. Just perfect. It's a keeper!

Watched Mexican made easy for the first time saturday morning, and was very impressed. So impressed I made the Tilapia Ceviche, which I must say was the BOMB!!!! I did cheat a lil and saved myself sometime; as Sandra Lee always recommends. I brought pico de gallo, used a tip of V8, and bought the tostada's. After soaking the fish in the lime juice I was a little apprehensive about eating it raw due to the fact that I am expecting, so I rapped it in foil and placed it on the grill for a quick minute. Once I mixed everything together I put in the fish. All I can kept saying was WOW, this was so flavorful. I think I finally found something myself and unborn likes, we ate five ceviches. Thanks Marcela, keep the good eats coming.

This was my first try at ceviche. My whole family loved it. I have tried several of Marcela's recipes and all have been good. Love her show and will continue to watch. Thanks Marcela!!!

How far in advance can this be made? Or, is it best to serve it right away? Also, can the fish marinade over night/several hours or must the process be stoped after 20 minutes?

    Hi Lou,
Ceviche means raw ,but the lime juice cooks it some what.As any citrus it will break it down and cook the fish. Its a great recipe and Oh so good.

I lived in Mexico City and have been looking for a show featuring simple, authentic Mexican food. This ceviche is fabulous! I absolutely love Marcela's show! Finally Food Network got it right when it comes to Latin cooking.

I love ceviche, but have not found a really good recipe that tastes like it does in Mexico. THIS ONE IS PERFECT. The only thing I changed is I used a jalepeno because I don't like things too spicy.

I love the show, love Marcela and love her cooking
